Apologies for the multiple rant journals but I'd like to take a moment to appreciate NOT my local dental care and its way of treating urgent patients.

I broke my tooth about half an hour ago. A piece (approximately 1/4 of what was visible of it) just cracked off. The comical thing? I was chewing on a piece of soft liquorice. It doesn't really hurt a lot, but aches and bleeds a bit, and I keep hurting my tongue on the sharp edges.
So I called the emergency first aid number of the dental care system, and after waiting in line for about 20 minutes, the person on the other end picks up, and I tell them what's the matter, and I get an appointment for tomorrow morning. Apparently my bleeding tooth isn't important enough to be taken care of any sooner... Oh, and the best thing here are the only instructions I got:"Yeah, just try not to hurt your tongue on the edges now. You can put a chewing gum on it."
Yeaaaah, 100% accurate medical advice I'm sure. Putting anything in my mouth right now feels like a repulsive idea anyway.. D:

Unfortunately this isn't the only time the local public healthcare has let me down. I just really hope the ache and bleeding will stop soon and tomorrow will come quick :/

Wow, that's a bummer. Too bad it's damn hard to get dentist appointments in Finland :/ Luckily you got one pretty fast, since my friend once chipped his tooth and had to wait like almost 3 days for it
